ናኖ ቴክኖሎጂ (ናኖ) በአንፃራዊነት ዕይታ ሲቃኝ አዲስ የምርምር ዘርፍ እንደሆነ ይገለጻል፡፡ በመሆኑም የዘርፉ ተመራማሪዎችም ሆኑ ሌሎች ባለሙያዎችን የሚያስማማ ትርጓሜ ሊገኝለት አልቻለም፡፡ የዘርፉ ተመራማሪዎች ናኖ ቴክኖሎጂ በአጠቃላይ ከአንድ እስከ መቶ ናኖ ሜትር መጠን ባለው ደረጃ የሚደረጉ ምርምሮችን ለመግለጽ የሚውል መጠሪያ ነው ይላሉ፡፡ ነገር ግን ከመጠናቸው ይልቅ በተጠቀሱት አኃዞች ደረጃ የሚገኙ ቁሶች የሚያሳዩዋቸው ባህርያት እጅግ ጠቃሚ ናቸው የሚሉም አሉ፡፡

EBTI celebrated Women’s day

On March 8, 2010 EBTI celebrate the Women’s day by preparing workshop together with ESSTI .The workshop held in EBTI at the Institute’s 6th floor Hall. On the day at 8:30am-9:30am registration of participants was done. Program introduction was given by Ms. Meaza Girma, Gender Directorate Director of the institute . Following the Introduction opening statement given by Director General of the EBTI , Dr.Kassahun Tesfay. After the opening statement keynote Message was given by Director General of ESSTI, Dr. Solomon Belay. “General Inspiration on personal development “speech was given by Mrs. Mulu Solomon, Director and Board member of Professionals, Social and Humanitarian Associations and Institutions. Professor Fetien Abay, Vice President for Research and Community Service gave speech on”National and Global Experience of Science Women‘’ then discussion and Experience sharing was held. Workshop continued Dr. Mirjana Povic Assistant Professor in Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute gave presentation on Space Science for Women from Global Perspective. Followed by Dr. Adey Feleke Assistant Professor, Addis Ababa University gave Presentation on Development of Technologies for Reclamation of Nitrogen and Phosphorus from Waste. Followed by Manager and owner, Waginos Biotech gave presentation on Business in Biotechnology after the two above Presenter there were an interesting discussion and Experience sharing held. Dr. Hewan Demissie Assistant Professor at Hawssa University gave presentation on ‘’DNA Methylation Patterns associate with genetic and Epigenetic Variation in Enseteventricosum” followed by Dr.Woubit Dawit Associate Professor at Ambo University gave speech on the topic of Haplotype analysis of Ethiopian bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) cultivars and elite lines for yellow rust resistance using linked molecular markers. W/ro Yenatfenta Shiferaw Associate Researcher at EBTI gave presentation on the topic of Emergining Technologies and Women; Like the previous sections of the Presentation discussion and experience sharing was also interesting . When the time reach 3:00pm coffee and tea break prepared by organizers. Followed by coffee and tea group picture were taken by EBTI’s PIR. Final presenter was Dr.Aselefech Sorsa, Addis Ababa Science and Technology University she gave speech on Electrolyte Additives for Lithium Ion Batteries. Followed by discussion, closing remark made by Dr. Kassahun Tesfay EBTI, Director General and workshop closed at 5:58pm.
